Diaper Distribution Demonstration Research Pilot (DDDRP)
The Office of Community Services (OCS) announces the availability of funds for a Diaper Distribution Demonstration and Research Pilot (DDDRP). OCS anticipates awarding approximately $29 million available through fourteen cooperative agreements to eligible Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) state associations, tribes that were funded directly by the CSBG in fiscal year (FY) 2025, and the CSBG-funded territories.The Diaper Distribution Demonstration Research Pilot (DDDRP) is a demonstration program, designed to evaluate the implementation and impact of the DDDRP program. Specifically, the purpose is to test the ability of CAAs and other non-profit community organizations to 1) deliver a continuous, sufficient supply of diapers to caregivers and children with low incomes, who are American citizens or eligible residents, and to 2) improve these families overall health and economic well-being. There are five areas for activities. 1. Establishing diaper distribution partnerships with local service organizations to operate and expand diaper distribution programs.2. Providing training and technical assistance (T/TA) to help diaper distribution partners expand and/or strengthen existing diaper distribution programs. 3. Working with diaper distribution partners to make bulk purchases and ensure economies of scale. 4. Referring families receiving diapers to appropriate services that promote family stability, employment, and economic self-sufficiency and mobility. 5.Participating fully in the federal evaluation of DDDRP.

The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), invites eligible applicants to submit applications to administer the Placement and Coordination (PC) program. ORR will provide funding to diversify providers of PC services through awards to eligible organizations not currently implementing the Program of Initial Resettlement (PIR). New providers will strengthen the national resettlement framework by contributing unique innovations and perspectives.PC providers will be responsible for administering services including the Program of Initial Resettlement (PIR) and Intensive Case Management (ICM) through one or more local service providers. Through PIR, PC providers will review refugee case profiles assigned by ORR, conduct outreach to identified U.S. ties, and confirm case placement locations. PC providers will either serve cases directly or place them with local resettlement providers (LRPs) in their network. After the refugee arrives, the LRP will assume responsibility for providing PIR services for 30 to 90 days after arrival in the United States, based on self-sufficiency needs of the case. Examples of services include airport pickup upon initial arrival, securing and furnishing housing, benefits applications, referrals, provision of cultural orientation, and provision of direct assistance. Through ICM, providers will serve individuals with significant vulnerabilities that create barriers to assimilation and self-sufficiency for a service period of six to 12 months, or 12 to 24 months for individuals with long-term physical or mental health conditions or disabilities. Examples of services include regular case management discussions, psychosocial support, and connections to external sources of assistance.

Disaster Assistance for State Units on Aging (SUAs) and Tribal Organizations
Grants awarded under this announcement are to provide disaster reimbursement and assistance funds to those State Units on Aging (SUAs), and federally recognized Tribal Organizations who are currently receiving a grant under Title VI of the Older Americans Act (OAA), as amended. Total funding available for disaster assistance is subject to the availability of funds appropriated. The estimated number of awards is seven with a one year project period. Funds may only be used in those areas designated in the Major Disaster Declaration issued by the President of the United States under the Robert T. Stafford Relief and emergency Assistance Act. Funds typically are for the following OAA Title III types of gap-filling services: outreach, information and assistance, counseling, case management, advocacy on behalf of older persons, additional food and meals, supplies, damaged senior center equipment replacement, staff overtime, emergency medications, transportation and other such immediate needs. OAA funds may be sed for permissible expenses incurred which are not or cannot be paid for through other disaster funding resources. Applicants should talk with State, Tribal, and local Emergency Managers to determine what funds may be available through other resources before applying for OAA funding. Eligible SUAs and Title VI grantees should discuss all disaster applications including amount of funds requested with ACL contacts prior to submitting a formal application. SUAs, and federally recognized Tribal Organizations currently receiving a grant under Title VI of the OAA must submit proposals electronically via http://www.grants.gov.

BRAIN Initiative: Next-Generation Devices for Recording and Modulation in the Human Central Nervous System (UG3/UH3 Clinical Trial Optional)
The purpose of this announcement is to encourage investigators to pursue translational activities and small clinical studies to advance the development of therapeutic, and diagnostic devices for disorders that affect the nervous or neuromuscular systems. <p>The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to support research on interventions to improve health in Native American (NA) populations. This includes 1) etiologic research, where there is a significant gap in knowledge, that will directly inform intervention development or adaptations, 2) research that develops, adapts, or tests the efficacy or effectiveness of health promotion and disease prevention interventions, 3) research that tests culturally informed treatment or recovery interventions and 4) where a sufficient body of knowledge on intervention efficacy exists, research on dissemination and implementation that develops and tests strategies to overcome barriers to the adoption, integration, scale-up, and sustainability of effective interventions. Existing data suggest that significant acute and chronic disease inequities exist for NA populations. Concurrently, NA populations experience unique sociopolitical, historical, and environmental stressors and risks that may exacerbate health conditions and/or impact the effectiveness of existing solutions to address the conditions. They also possess unique strengths and resiliencies that can mitigate stressors or inform intervention strategies. Through this initiative, intervention and related research is sought to build upon community knowledge, resources, and resilience to test science-based, culturally appropriate solutions to reduce morbidity and mortality through identification and remediation of precursors to diseases and disorders and through culturally informed treatment. Interventions should be designed with a consideration for sustainability within the communities where they are tested, and have the flexibility to be readily adapted, disseminated, and scaled up to other communities where culturally appropriate. For the purposes of this NOFO, NA includes the following populations: Alaska Natives, American Indians (whose ancestral lands fall at least partially within the U.S. main land).</p>

New Approaches for Measuring Brain Changes Across Longer Timespans (R01 Clinical Trial Optional)
